Cause for Paws in Plano

The City of Plano will be hosting an event for the residents and their pet dogs in Windhaven Meadows Park according to a CW33 article from July 1. They say,

“Officials with the Plano Parks & Recreation Department have announced the dates for its third Cause for Paws event this year.

This event will be on Wednesday, July 20, and will feature on-site adoptions from Plano Animal Shelter, networking opportunities with city officials and free stuff.

The event will be from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 pm. at Windhaven Meadows Park (5400 Windhaven Pkwy).”

According to the city officials, the event was made in order to help raise awareness regarding the dog parks in Plano as reported in a Dallas Morning News article from June 28 which reports,

“It will help raise awareness about Plano’s dog parks and how the community can work together to keep them beautiful, organizers said in an announcement. It also gives dog park fans the chance to meet event sponsors, members of city departments and other pet owners.

The Credit Union of Texas’ food truck will be on hand to serve up hot dogs in celebration of National Hot Dog Day.

Attendees will also have the chance to make donations to the Plano Animal Shelter.”
