Floods Follow Heavy Rains in Plano

Parks and motorways have been left flooded after heavy rains in Plano according to a Dallas Morning News article from May 18th. In it they say:

“Areas of North Texas are waterlogged after nearly an inch and a half of rain fell Sunday with wet weather continuing to fall through Monday and even more expected for the rest of the week.

Plano is among the cities facing areas of flooding, and city officials are advising caution as more storms, rain and flooding are expected this week.”

Even Mill-Again Stables were heavily damaged after the rains according to another Dallas Morning News article from May 18th. In it they say:

“Floodwaters from Sundays storms caused thousands of dollars in damage to the Mill-Again Stables in Plano, but no people or horses were injured.

Rain was falling all day Sunday but when a downpour broke out around 2:30 p.m., the banks of Brown Branch Creek overflowed and water surged onto the property, said owner Candee Carlson.”

The sudden heavy rains over Plano caught many off-guard and have left a lot of areas flooded and damaged.
