Granite Properties’ Biggest Project in Plano Kicks Off

The largest high-rise project, covering 420,000 square feet, in Plano has finally started to move for construction according to a Dallas Magazine article from December 9 which reports,

“Granite Properties has kicked off construction in Plano for a 420,000-square-foot, 19-story office tower. It will be the tallest building in Granite Park, a 90-acre, mixed-use project at the southeast corner of State Highway 121 and the Dallas North Tollway.

Granite Park Six was designed by BOKA Powell, with interiors by HKS Architects. Austin Commercial will serve as general contractor.”

With the ground break of the project officially finished, tenants are also on their way to secure spaces and one of them is Stonebriar Commercial Finance which have been part of the Granite Park for so many years already according to a Dallas Morning News article from December 8 which reports,

“Stonebriar Commercial Finance — a commercial finance and leasing company already located in another building in the surrounding Granite Park development — will take two floors with 52,000 square feet of offices in the new building.

“We’re excited Stonebriar has chosen Granite Park Six to expand their business,” said Will Hendrickson, senior managing director of Granite Properties. “With Granite Park Six, we will build on Granite Park’s success of offering high-quality spaces for work, productivity and leisure within a walkable, park setting.

“Granite Park Six was our first choice when we found ourselves in need of more space to accommodate our growth and strategic goals,” Dave B. Fate, CEO of Stonebriar, said in a statement. “Over the past 17 years as customers at Granite Park, we’ve enjoyed Granite’s consistent pursuit of maintaining a first-class experience throughout the park as well as the highly praised Hilton Hotel, which accommodates the many weekly visitors we host in our offices.

“Granite Park will remain Stonebriar’s headquarters for many years to come.”

Set to be finished in 2023, the project will include multiple amenities and features within its premises including green space, a fitness studio, market cafe, outdoor terrace, conference rooms and even a 400 seating capacity lecture hall.
