House of Comedy Opens in Plano

The House of Comedy has recently opened to serve Plano citizens with a unique resto-bar experience according to a Community Impact article from November 2 which states,

“Plano House of Comedy opened Oct. 22 at The Shops at Legacy, 7301 Lone Star Drive, Plano. The comedy club, which took over the space formerly occupied by the Blue Martini lounge, offers a dine-in experience with drinks and stand-up comedy. Co-owner Rick Bronson said the club will feature a mixture of local comics and touring entertainers from around the country.

“Typically, our headliners are all touring comics—guys that you’ve seen on all the late-night talk shows or ‘Last Comic Standing,’ Comedy Central, Netflix, those types of acts,” Bronson said earlier this year. “That being said, all of our clubs are huge development clubs. We work and encourage the local comics to get as much face time as possible and get onstage as frequently as they can.”

Aside from the performances offered in the House of Comedy, customers and guests are likewise offered a special dining experience according to a CultureMap article from November 4 which reports,

“A full-service restaurant and top-shelf bar will serve special three-course dinners during all shows.

A-la-carte menu options include sharable appetizers such as buffalo bites, hummus flights, spinach-artichoke dip, and charcuterie boards.

Main courses include sliced flat-iron steak salad, flatbread pizzas, beef short ribs, Cuban sandwiches, and a selection of specialty burgers.

Desserts include New York-style cheesecake, chocolate brownie sundae, and cinnamon-apple tart. Sounds yummy.”

Plano’s House of Comedy is the first branch in Texas and is open from Tuesday to Sunday with different opening times for their box office: Tuesday to Thursday is at 12 noon, Friday is at 1 pm, Saturday is at 3 pm and Sunday is at 2 pm.
