Michelin-Starred Chef to Open Pop-up in Plano

Michelin-starred chef John Tesar will be bringing his Knife & Spoon’s menu to his Plano location for three nights according to a Local Profile article. They say,

“Texas might not be included in Michelin’s gastronomic guide, but we have Michelin-starred chef John Tesar bringing his awarded Knife & Spoon’s menu to his Plano location Knife Steakhouse at The Shops at Willow Bend. The pop-up will open for three nights only in October.

Earlier this year, Tesar won his first Michelin star for his Knife & Spoon restaurant located at the Ritz-Carlton resort in Orlando. Given Michelin’s strict standards, this was a big deal for Tesar who became the second Dallas-based chef to receive the honor, the first being Bruno Davaillon of Knox Bistro.”

Of course, reservations for the dinner pop-up are getting booked by the second and Michelin made a statement to increase the hype according to a Dallas Observer article. They say,

“Reservations for the Knife & Spoon pop-up will be available on Resy on Sept. 13 at 9 a.m. Note: reservations for dinner at Knife are separate from this event. Look for “Upcoming Events” at the bottom of Knife’s Resy page. There’s availability for 40 guests per evening. The three dates are Oct. 11, 12 and 15.

For a bit of preview, here’s what Michelin has to say about the restaurant:

Care and skill are the hallmarks of this team, as they turn out contemporary steakhouse fare woven with seafood. … The dry-aged steaks are big and beautiful, and sides are attention-grabbing, evidenced by the house-made pasta in the luscious mac and cheese.”

The Knife Steakhouse is situated at The Shops at Willowbend at 6121 W. Park Blvd., in Plano and they will only be accommodating 40 guests per evening.
