Bobby Jivnani Plano Dental has been rated as one of the best dental practices in the Northern Dallas region.

We are able, unlike many area providers to offer all your needs under one roof. You can get general dentistry, as well cosmetic, child, smile design, reconstruction, and other procedures.

Dental exams

Our dentist will inspect the mouth for signs and symptoms that may indicate pain or discomfort. We will also examine the teeth to know if they need to be fixed in any way. We will also examine the patient for any other problems that might affect their oral health.

In addition to checking the patient’s teeth, we also check for any signs of problems with their gums. Gum disease may lead to other health issues, including tooth loss. The procedure involves placing a probe into the gums between each tooth to determine how deep it is. This allows us determine the amount of gum tissue between each tooth. We will also look for any inflammation or bleeding from the gums.

To check if the patient has a problem with their jaw, we will place the mirror on top of the patient’s mouth and move the mirror around to get a complete view of the inside and teeth. We want to make sure that their teeth are staying healthy and the muscles around them are not causing any problems.

We may also use radiographs or take x-rays to look for decay. If this is not detected quickly, it can cause severe pain. Sometimes, cavities may be found very close to the gum line and need to treated quickly to prevent them from becoming a bigger problem.

Pediatric dentistry

Children can have tooth decay and cavities at any age, even as soon as two years old. Bobby Jivnani Plano Dental recommends children visit us for their first time when they are around 18 months. This is so we can check for structural problems and overbite issues. Your child’s primary teeth can last a lifetime if they are properly cared for. We recommend that you bring them in twice a year to make sure there are no major problems.

Before our skilled team of dental professionals begins the adolescent examination, we will make sure that your child feels at ease. We’ll talk to your kid throughout the appointment and explain what’s happening so they can participate in the process. The child will be assisted to relax in one or more of our comfortable treatment chairs. An initial mouth exam and x-ray will then be performed.

We will then talk to you about your child’s dental health, and make a recommendation for how to preserve the remaining teeth.

We recommend that your child establish healthy habits early on. They will help ensure that his or her teeth stay strong and prevent any problems later. A fluoride treatment or dental sealants may be advised to protect the teeth as your child grows older. If our staff detects a problem, we’ll develop a customized cure plan that takes your kid’s greatest care and comfort into account. We are happy to accommodate any special requests that you may have such as providing music during your appointment or providing a distraction for your child.

We love to see the smiles on your kids’ faces when they visit our office. We look forward to helping them stay healthy for many years!

Teeth Cleaning

A dental hygienist cleans and polishes the teeth of patients and removes any plaque or calculus.

Dental hygienists keep in touch with patients. They are responsible for the cleaning of teeth.

We use different tools and water sprays to clean the teeth of our patients. Sometimes, we also use special toothpaste. There are many types of instruments, including drills, scrapers, and brushes. They polish the patient’s smiles with special polishing liquid and disks. It is crucial to remove all plaque, calculus, and tartar from patients’ teeth before scaling and polishing can commence.

The most recent hygienic tools are used for more efficient and comfortable cleaning. For example, an ultrasonic cleaning device we use employs high-speed vibrations and a lubricating spray to gently remove debris. A curette or scaler are hand-held instruments that can be used to remove small pieces of plaque. For optimal dental health, a dental hygienist may recommend you return every six months for teeth cleaning.

In order to prevent gum diseases, the dental hygienist must clean out tartar and plaque off patients’ teeth. If they don’t do this treatment at regular intervals, the patient may suffer accelerated tooth decay or gum disease. We do our best to make regular visits to the dentist as simple as possible for all members of the family.

Wisdom tooth extraction

Wisdom tooth extraction is the removal of one or several wisdom teeth. They are also known as permanent adult tooth. A wisdom tooth may be extracted by a dentist or an oral surgeon.

Some dentists and oral surgeons advocate wisdom tooth extraction even if impacted teeth don’t currently cause issues as a method to avoid future difficulties. It is possible to predict problems by having regular checkups or x-rays.

A wisdom tooth extraction refers to a surgical procedure that removes a wisdom tooth. It can be performed due to numerous complications like:

  • Wisdom tooth with an impact

  • Angled towards neighboring teeth or back of jaw

  • Stuck in jaw bone

  • It can cause pain

  • Becomes a cause of periodontal disease

  • Trapped food can cause decay in neighboring teeth

  • Cyst formation in the wisdom tooth

  • Interferes orthodontist treatment

Most patients receive a local anesthetic to numb their area and a sedative for relaxation to relieve any pain.

Oral sedate may be an option in some cases, such as when patients are very anxious.

You can go home on the same day as your wisdom tooth extraction if it is uncomplicated, but you’ll need someone to drive you and stay with you for 24 hours.

The day following wisdom tooth extraction you can return to work, but it is best to avoid strenuous activities for at least two to three additional days.

Although many dentists can remove wisdom, some situations may require the intervention of an oral surgeon. Bobby Jivnani Plano Dental also has an excellent oral surgeon, so there is no need to have your case referred.

Laser Dentistry

Dental lasers are used to treat a variety of oral conditions. It was first commercially available in 1989 for the treatment of tooth tissue.

In comparison to drills and other non-laser equipment, laser dentistry may provide a more comfortable treatment choice for a variety of hard or soft tissue treatments.

The two main types of procedures used for laser dentistry are hard tissue and soft tissue procedures. Hard tissue refers only to the teeth and soft tissue to the gums. When lasers are applied to the teeth, they can be used for cutting (ablation), vaporizing (excited plasma), or removing decay. When used on gums, the laser energy is absorbed by water in the cells causing them to evaporate rapidly.

At first, dentists treated only hard tissue because it was believed that lasers could not treat soft tissue. Laser dentistry has been around since the early days, but it was not used for gum treatment until recent years.

Scientists discovered that different tissues and applications have different absorption wavelengths for lasers. You can use the wavelengths in nm to determine which laser is suitable for your application. In this respect, there are many different types of Lasers.

There is less need for sutures with soft tissue lasers. The laser stimulates blood clotting, which reduces bleeding in soft tissues. Anesthesia may not be necessary for some treatments. The laser’s ability to reduce bacteria means that there are fewer chances of getting bacterial infection. Lasers can speed up the healing process and allow for tissue regeneration. The procedures may cause less discomfort.The patient’s recovery time is faster than with traditional treatment methods.

However, with soft tissue procedures there are some disadvantages that must be considered. Laser light is absorbed quickly by water in cells. This causes the cells to evaporate rapidly. This can cause pain and dehydration of the gum tissues. Another factor to consider is that with hard tissue procedures, the laser is only applied to the tooth being worked on. Stray beams can cause tissue damage in soft tissues.

Tooth White Fillings

Today, instead of silver or gold fillings, platinum and other alternatives are available. The high-strength, natural-looking fillings known as amalgam fillings can be placed today rather than silver or gold (also known as composite resin fillers).

Composite fillings are the current preferred filling material. Composite fillings are made to match your natural teeth color. They attach to the tooth with a bonding agent to prevent them from falling out. Many people opt for composite fillings rather than silver and gold fillings because they are more durable.

Composite resins with high strength are used to create white fillings. They can be easily colored to match the natural color of your tooth. Composite tooth-colored dental fillings adhere to the tooth rather than sitting on top, as silver and gold fillings. Composite fillings are less likely to fall out than gold fillings. Tooth-colored fillings can be more easily detected than silver. They are more durable, less likely break or crack and they are virtually invisible.

Your oral health doesn’t depend on the adhesive joining two different materials. Composite tooth-colored filling material stays bonded to the tooth where it is placed. This gives composite tooth-colored fillings a greater durability and strength than other types.

Tooth-colored fillings can be used to replace broken-down or damaged molars. They are vulnerable to fracture due to their lack of support from natural chewing forces. Tooth-colored filling material can be used to repair a fractured tooth and restore your chewing ability.

Ceramic materials can also be used to make tooth-colored fillings. This material has the same compressive strength as tooth enamel and is available in crowns. They are strong and can bond well to tooth enamel as well as to composite resin.

Bobby Jivnani Plano Dental may be able to determine if the candidate is suitable for composite resin restorations. This modern filling is available at one of the best dental offices in the Quorum View region.

Sedation dentistry

Your dentist can complete complicated procedures with ease using sedation dentistry. It involves the use of medication to put the patient in a state of sleep. This is also called sleep dentistry.

Minimal Sedation (or minimal sedation) is the least severe form of sedation. The state can range from being almost conscious to being awake. It is used to allow the patient to relax and be comfortable. It’s primary purpose is to ease any fear that the patient may have, and in order to achieve this aim, nitrous oxide (or laughing gas) is administered by breathing through a mask or face piece similar in appearance to a clear plastic bag.

Moderate sedation is intended to produce a relaxed state and sleep during dental treatment. It may be combined with Nitrous Oxide, or laughing gas. However, this medication may be administered intravenously by drip in the arm or via injection.

Deep Sedation results in the patient being completely unaware of all that is happening. This must be continuously monitored by trained staff. This level is often used in severe trauma cases and for long-term surgical procedures.

Anaesthesia, which is the most powerful form dental sedation, doesn’t cause pain to the patient and leaves them totally unaware of what’s happening. The patient will be completely incapacitated and need to be closely monitored by trained staff. This type of sedation should only be used for serious dental treatments such as extractions of many teeth, complex oral surgery, or extensive root canal work. This level of Sedation requires that you stay longer in the dental office under observation than any other.

Bobby Jivnani Plano Dental, one of the few practices that offer all levels in sedation dental care near Quorum View.

Root canal treatment

Endodontic treatment is also known as root canal. It involves saving a damaged tooth and eliminating the infection. When you have a toothache, the first thing people do is take painkillers. This is not the best thing for you. In fact, long-term use of antiinflammatory medication can cause damage to your kidneys.

Root canal treatment, on the other hand, eliminates the infection. Although it is a simple procedure, it may take several sessions.

Endodontic treatment can be performed in as little as two to three sessions. The local anesthesia we use to numb your area is painless. Dental xrays are taken to determine the condition of the tooth.

We will clean and seal your tooth to keep germs out. The tooth will be filled with composite. To enhance protection, a dental crown can be used in some cases.

Bobby Jivnani Plano Dental is a dentist who has provided endodontic care for patients in and around Quorum View over the years.

Crowns and Bridges

A crown is a restorative technique for teeth that aims to strengthen them or improve their form. It’s essentially a cap that’s used to cover a tooth in order to restore its size, strength, and form while also enhancing its appearance.

There are many options for dental crowns. They can be made from ceramics, porcelain or resin. The extent of tooth decay and the material’s physical properties will determine the material that is used. Your needs may dictate whether crowns are made of full ceramic or porcelain.

Porcelain crowns can be used to cover large or complex root canals. They can also be used to cover teeth that have been damaged by cracks or chips. Patients who are looking for an aesthetic restoration will be more interested in porcelain crowns, as they can only be used to repair a damaged tooth.

A dental crown will replace any old filling material. Your tooth will be stronger because it is protected against further damage. This can be a great choice if you’ve had a rootcanal and don’t want any more work. Crowns can also help with cosmetic issues such as chips and cracks.

An inlay or crown on a tooth may be suitable for everyone, even children. It’s painless. Our dentist will examine your mouth and create a crown that can be worn after a week based on the impressions you provide. A temporary crown may be made while the permanent one is being constructed.

The dentist may suggest a dental bridge if a tooth cannot be restored with a crown. A bridge is a way to replace missing teeth and correct facial structure. There are many types, but all of them include crowns on one side or the other of the missing tooth. The “pontic”, which is a false tooth placed between the anchoring teeth (also known as abutment), can also be used to replace the missing tooth. The dentist also makes these false teeth in his office.

A bridge replaces one tooth or more that are missing. After you have had all of your teeth removed, such as during a dental procedure to place a bridge or after you have lost any teeth due to injury or periodontal disease, you can also use a bridge.

Dental implants

A dental implant, a surgical fixture, is an insert that is inserted into a jawbone. This is allowed to connect with bone over a period of time. A dental implant replaces the root of a tooth that is lost. In turn, this “artificial tooth root” supports a replacement tooth or bridge.

An attached dental implant to the jawbone looks like a natural tooth. It stands alone and is stable. “Osseointegration,” or the integration of jawbones and dental implants, is what we call it.

Majority of dental implants are made out of titanium. They can become part and parcel of the body without being recognised as foreign objects. Implant placement results have been improved by technology and science.

Dental implants can be used to substitute one, several or all of a patient’s natural teeth. The purpose of dental implant dentistry is to restore functionality and beauty.

Implants are the best option for people who have lost their teeth or can’t maintain healthy oral health due to missing or removed teeth.

Many dentists near Quorum View offer dental implants. But not all implants are created equal.

PubMed.gov claims that there are more than 220 different implant brands. They have been produced by over 80 manufacturers. The implant materials vary, have different surface treatments, come in different forms, sizes and shapes. In theory, a dentist can select from over 2,000 implants to treat a patient. Implants made from titanium or titanium alloys seem to perform well clinically in correctly surgically prepared bones, regardless of slight variations in shape and form. To increase the anchorage speed of the implant into the bone, various surface treatments have been developed. A large number of manufacturers’ claims regarding superiority due to design characteristics do not reflect sound clinical scientific research. Some implant sales are made in parts of the World without demonstrating compliance to international standards.

Bobby Jivnani Plano Dental ensures that you have the best possible quality in implant technology. For more information or to schedule an appointment, please call us.

Dentures

Dentures, whether full or partial tend to be a more affordable option compared to implants (depending on the case).

Sometimes called false teeth, dentures can be used to replace missing teeth. These are removable appliances that support and change the shape or color of your gums, lips, and mouth.

Healthy gums are required to keep dentures in their place. A bridge is a fixed solution to replace missing teeth. Dental implants or dentures [may be used to replace missing teeth].

Different types of dentures include:

* Traditional complete full dentures

* Partial dentures

* Custom dentures

* Intermediate (between partial-full) denture

* Snap-in dentures

* Snap-on dentures

* Overdentures that can be used with dental implants. [1]

Traditional complete full denture: The traditional complete full denture, also referred to as a standard or conventional fixed full denture, is usually the least expensive and most durable type of full denture.

It is created by your dentist from an impression taken of the gums or teeth on each of your cheeks.

The roof or palate is made up of a metal frame that supports the wire clasps.

Partial denture: A partial denture, also known as a “temporary partial denture,” is used when some of your teeth remain.

Attach clasps to the remaining teeth to hold partial dentures in place.

You wear it most often as an orthodontic retainer. Sometimes, however, you can take the device out at night or during meals.

Custom denture: A custom denture is made from an impression of your upper or lower jaw, using a special material.

It’s designed to fit more securely and comfortably than a standard denture.

Snap-in dentures – Snap-in dentures can be held in place with suction. No clasps are required.

They can be used as a no-prep alternative to traditional teeth because they don’t need to have their lines relined.

Your dentist will make your snap-in dentures in a dental lab by taking a plaster model of your jaw and gums, then fitting the denture inside your mouth to make sure it’s a perfect fit.

After you learn how to adjust and insert the denture yourself, you won’t need to go back to your dentist for adjustments.

Overdentures are a partial denture that can be “fixed” and attached to dental implant support.

Because it rests on top, implants, an implant-supported denture will usually provide a more secure fit than other types.

Implant-supported overdentures are made up of two parts. A metal frame snaps onto dental implant posts, and a replacement tooth (or teeth) attached to it.

Overdentures are often made in a dentist’s lab. Here, technicians create models (molds of your gums and jaw) to make the device.

Bobby Jivnani Plano Dental offers dentures for patients living in Quorum View. We’ll collaborate with you in designing the most functional, attractive and affordable dentures for your full- or partial teeth.
