High Point Tennis Center in Plano has earned the Outstanding Facility Award according to a Dallas Morning News article which reports,
“Plano’s High Point Tennis Center has earned a 2022 Outstanding Facility Award from the United States Tennis Association.
The award recognizes High Point as an exemplary facility with a commitment toward growing and developing tennis in the community.”
Susie Hergenrader, the center’s recreation services manager, credits various members of the public and city staff for the recommendation for recognition according to a Plano Magazine article. They say,
“According to Hergenrader, the tennis center was recommended for recognition by various members of the public and city staff. That motivated the parks department to apply for any award opportunities that presented themselves.
She credits the architects and JBI Partners, Inc. for the unique and beautiful design of the new pro shop and the entire renovation of the tennis venue. They worked in consultation with City of Plano staff to design the new facility as well as oversee the entire complex’s renovation.
Hergenrader adds that the award is not just for the facility itself. It is also about High Point Tennis Center’s long time commitment to the growth and development of tennis in the community.”
The 2022 Outstanding Facility Award was presented on August 16 at the Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati.
