“We really are a place where we celebrate all differences,” said Taylor Wiesner with We Rock the Spectrum.
They can swing, zipline, jump on the trampoline – and never have to feel like they or their parents should say sorry.”
The gym’s mission is ‘play with a purpose’ which means that while kids are playing, they’re working on their motor skills and even includes a calm room according to a Dallas Morning News article which observes,
“There is also a calming room for kids who are having a rough day,” he told NBC5.
“Every part of our gym is accommodated for a child with special needs. One of our missions is ‘play with a purpose,’” Wiesner told the TV station. “So while kids think that they’re playing, they’re really working on motor planning, balance and strength and coordination.””
The grand opening was held on July 23. The children’s sensory gym has since expanded into a franchise.
